Lectures by key speakers will highlight content and topics that their members and leadership have identified as particularly important.


Objectives
Patients will be able to

  1. Identify the equipment needed for successful HHHF titrations
  2. Implement procedures on how to titrate HHHF
  3. Understand how HHHF may be a useful alternative to PAP in the sleep center
  4. Explain how HHHF could be used as an alternative treatment in patients < 2 years old with OSA
  5. Manage patients with obstructive sleep apnea who are interested in therapies other than positive airway pressure
  6. Recognize and describe the differences between nasal and oronasal masks on efficacy, adherence, patient satisfaction.
  7. Summarize the implications of these data on mask selection
  8. Describe how these data can assist in management of OSA treatment
  9. Manage hypersomnias with a more personalized approach
  10. Illustrate the different mechanisms of actions for medication options for hypersomnias
  11. Reviw the general diagnostic process for OSA patients
  12. Discuss surgical treatment options for OSA patients
  13. Review of management and planning of MMA cases, patient selection
  14. Describe how new genetic techniques can be used to answer unresolved questions about sleep regulation and function
  15. Summarize how sleep is expressed throughout evolution
  16. Describe how advances in basic science can be applied to clinical settings

Grievance Policy & Procedure

The monitoring and assessment of compliance with these standards and the SLU CME Program Mission is the responsibility of the CME Program Director in consultation with the CME Program Accrediting Director & CME Chairperson, and the Continuing Education Committee. While Saint Louis University CME Program attempts to anticipate issues and assure fair treatment for all participants to conduct and experience valid and successful CME activities, there may be occasional issues which require intervention and/or action on the part of the CME Program. To register a complaint or grievance with the Saint Louis University CME Program:

Submit a written, detailed complaint or grievance to cme@slu.edu. Complaints will be reviewed by the Program Director and addressed or transferred to the appropriate level for review:

  • Answers and/or actions taken to rectify complaints will be documented and sent to those that provide contact information.
  • If appropriate, complaints will be reviewed at the CME Committee Meeting for members to discuss and find solutions to the area of complaint.
  • Compliance issues will automatically be moved up to the Accrediting Director for immediate review.
