Dine with Data Webinar: Racial Disparities in Physical Therapy Utilization following a Lower Extremity Joint Replacement

Join us for an insightful presentation by Mike Markee, DPT, PhD, associate professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training at Saint Louis University's Doisy College of Health Sciences. This presentation will present the backgrounds, methods, and results of a secondary analysis of patients receiving a lower extremity joint replacement. Disparities will be presented in physical therapy utilization based on race as well as other variables.

1. Examine how to best utilize secondary data and other real world resources to produce valuable health and medical research.
2. Demonstrate how to interpret and convey research findings clearly to an audience. Answer questions confidently regarding one’s research project, and communicate research methods and challenges in depth.
3. Articulate all stages of the research project with a thorough understanding of the content and process.
4. Discuss new research methods and creative solutions from other researchers. Learn to incorporate these lessons into future research as applicable.
