2025 SLU Caregiver Conference

The 2025 SLU Caregiver Conference brings together academics, professionals, clinicians, and caregivers to discuss cutting edge topics in caregiving. This year's keynote speaker, Froma Walsh, is an internationally recognized speaker and author on the areas of resilience, loss and trauma when pertaining to families with chronic health issues. Her keynote talk will discuss ways that professionals and caregivers can maintain resilience through different types of difficult losses for loved ones. The activity will also have a Q&A with a family who displayed resilience through difficult health issues of a loved one. 

1. To review the key principles of loss and trauma for caregivers.
2. To discuss the concept of resilience and how this helps curb burnout for professionals and caregivers
3. To apply these skills and principles in clinical work with patients and families who require resilience strategies

All SLU/SSM Faculty/Students/GWEP Partner: $50
Family Center for Healthy Aging Faculty/Students: Free (code needed)
