Overview
This program is designed to address the professional practice gaps in all six competencies, including patient care, medical knowledge, practice-based learning and improvement, interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism, and systems-based practice.  This program will provide updated information based on the new guidelines and recommendations based on the most current research presented at the national American Association of the Study of Liver Diseases Meeting, October 20-24, 2017, in Washington DC, and will go a long way towards improving patient outcomes.

Objectives
  1. Evaluate the impact of new strategies for treatment of fatty liver disease
  2. Articulate the changing global epidemiology of alcoholic liver disease
  3. Review the details of the AASLD guidelines for treatment of alcohol associated fatty liver disease
  4. Identify new therapies and approaches for the treatment of NAFLD
