Personal bio:

Carol Schweitzer has been with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children for the past fifteen years and has been the Supervisor of the Forensic Services Unit since 2016. Carol specializes in applying biometrics and forensics to missing and unidentified child investigations, working closely with law enforcement, medical examiners, coroners, and forensic professionals. She strives to take a proactive and creative approach in finding success; and as a strong believer in incorporating forensics into investigations she also spearheads NCMEC’s efforts developing relationships with external forensic lab partners and coordinating the application of these critical resources to missing and unidentified child investigations. In 2018 Carol was the receipt of the Massachusetts State Police Superintendent Commendation for her work on the Bella Bond investigation and the New Hampshire Congressional Law Enforcement Award for her contributions to the Bear Brook case.
