Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able
  1. Describe the science and knowledge base of the information that supports clinical practice for the patient with pediatric and congenital cardiovascular disease.
  2. Review latest innovations and technologies in congenital in pediatric cardiovascular care.
  3. Identify and discuss, with an interdisciplinary care team, the trends in pediatric cardiology and cardiovascular surgery and formulate plans to incorporate best approaches into their practice.

Activity Summary

The MWPCS annual meeting is a regional gathering of cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, trainees such as residents and fellows, and other health care professionals. The meeting format is a day of inter-professional educational lectures followed by a day of research presentations and poster sessions. The vision of the society is to foster education, research, improvements in clinical practice and mentoring for health care processionals in pediatric cardiology and adult congenital heart disease in the Midwest.
