Overview
The promotion of serious scholarly investigation into the medieval and early modern worlds is at the heart of this Symposium. By bringing together specialists across what are often opaque chronological boundaries, new insights into historical dynamics and trends can be uncovered and explored. Our guiding principle is a programmatic flexibility that puts excellence in scholarship ahead of all other concerns.
Registration
Everyone attending the Symposium on Medieval and Renaissance Studies must register. Click the Register button to begin. All registration prior to the Symposium must be handled through our online form. Regular online registration closes on May 16; however, late registrants may still register online for an additional $50 late fee. Late fee registration is also available on-site. Refunds are not possible after May 16.
Group Registrations are encouraged for departments wishing to pay for the expenses of multiple attendees.The regular registration rate is $125. The student rate is $75. All major credit cards are accepted.On-Site Registration & Registration Packets
Late registration will be available for an additional fee of $50 beginning May 16. On-campus housing will not be available to late registrants after June 1.
On-site registration and packet pickup will be held in the Center for Global Citizenship from 12pm until 8pm on Sunday, June 14. Registration and packet pick-up also will be available daily from 8am until 5pm Monday through Wednesday.
Accreditation

Saint Louis University is pleased to offer on-campus, air-conditioned apartment-style housing options for attendees of the Symposium in addition to rooms at a luxurious boutique hotel. The Student Village Apartments has single-occupancy rooms within four-room suites. The university's Hotel Ignacio offers a more elegant experience within easy walking distance of conference venues. If none of the provided options meet your needs, there are also a number of other hotels nearby that will accommodate any budget. All attendees are welcome to exercise using the facilities at the Simon Recreation Center for a $10/visit fee.
For those wishing to stay and research (or tour St. Louis) beyond the end of the symposium, we are pleased to offer on-campus housing through Saturday night at the same affordable symposium rate.
