Overview
This symposium is designed for physicians, advanced practice providers (APPs), registered nurses, pre-hospital care providers, physical and occupational therapists, and respiratory therapists involved in the management, diagnosis, treatment, and transport of trauma patients. This one day program will explore common mechanisms of injuries associated with trauma, as well as provide participants with many concepts and current guidelines concerning the management of the trauma patient.

Objectives
  1. Participants will be able to list at least one benefit to the use of Ketamine in Trauma patients
  2. Participants will state an increase in knowledge related to the pre-hospital assessment
  3. Participants will implement at least one practice management change related to the care of the injured patient within the next three months
  4. Discuss special mobility considerations related to the care of the trauma patient and the importance of mobility during their recovery
